Collection out of Storage

Well, I finally have the time, room, and energy to dig through my childhood collection of beer cans. It certainly was never the best collection, though I did enjoy the time spent searching for gems. As I begin to search through the cans I notice some of the cans have begun to rust (newer steel ones) can I use the same process for these? They do not have a lot of rust, just some small, loose patches...should I soak them or try to apply the mixture to the specific spots? Also, I have purchased some dumpers from online and wonder if these too could use the same process of citric acid?

What methods were the most successful in acquiring bulk, different cans? I fear my collection is rather spotty as generally I collected what I could find in West Virginia...

Trying to get the collection back together,

Thanks for your time.

Wade
