CanDB 4.0.1 - Update release May 14, 2023

CanDB 4.0.1 has been released, see http://www.mbcinfo.com/CanDB

Confirmed that both BMV and CanDB run on MacOS and Linux. I use Windows64 extensively, so only have done limited testing on other platforms. PLEASE let me know if you use CanDB on either of those other platforms so I don't waste time if NO.

Reason for 4.0.1 release is my web hosted California tab top pages kinda sucked. Digital cameras are designed to take pictures horizontally, and when used vertically they don't actually rotate the pixels, but instead apply an "EXIF orientation" property for hint on how the images are supposed to be displayed. Well, many applications don't honor that property, e.g. Firefox, my Windows Explorer, etc. As such, what looked good on camera and good in CanDB (ImageMagick honors this property), many of my web page images displayed flat on their side, not vertical.

When editing an Item in CanDB, the bottom slots of images have a right-click popup menu. Version 4.0.1 now documents this menu in the help topic, as well has new action named "Remove Orient" which uses ImageMagick to edit the item's existing images to set "orientation = undefined". I have now uploaded all new CSS html/images at http://www.mbcinfo.com/CSS/html/TableContents.html. The updated CanDB "Item" help topic section is below:
