Is that a 24 can sheet and each of the 6 girls would be on 4 cans per sheet?
Hard to tell from the picture.

Looks like 16 cans per sheet. Now, how many sheets are in that stack is a whole different question. VERY cool photo! Woody

Re: Just look at that stack of lithographed tin plate sheets of Rheingold Girl cans.....
So every uncut sheet of cans I've ever seen has been 5 across by 7 down for 35 total cans that could be cut out of the sheet. These sheets are clearly smaller so I'm wondering if they are cut down from the 5 by 7 sheets or did can companies made different sizes? Anyone know the answer?
Always looking for West Virginia breweriana from Fesenmeier and Parkersburg.

Re: Just look at that stack of lithographed tin plate sheets of Rheingold Girl cans.....
With 6 girls in the contest, and each girl appearing 4 times = 24 cans on a sheet.
If that is not the correct sheet size, then such as 16, 32, 35 would result in some girls getting more, others less.
Kind of like baseball card sheets with single prints and double prints of certain players.
Hard to tell from the picture who is who and how many.
Of the six cans with the contestants are any more common or less common?

Re: Just look at that stack of lithographed tin plate sheets of Rheingold Girl cans.....
Are we looking at full sheets?, any sheets that I've encountered have been the same brand and label throughout... also, don't recalling seeing such a wide vertical gap between labels... unprinted material is waste in the printing and the steel industry....To me this looks like these plates are all the contestants cut from their original sheets and mounted for a promo shot... that's my guess....

Re: Just look at that stack of lithographed tin plate sheets of Rheingold Girl cans.....
I don't know how lithographs are produced but if you enlarge the image, it looks like there are different Rheingold girls on the sheet displayed. Seems It would be more efficient to produce one Rheingold girl per sheet, so I believe it's staged for the shot. Looks like it's a stack of blanks under it. I say this because it looks like a reflection of the promotional sheet in the stack that is laying flat. Hard to tell. Still a cool shot from the era of cans I collect
