I'm confused. Lol. My bud can is dated 1936 so it's a harder to find can? And he wants to give me a 1937 can for the Rainier? Daniel seriously needs to get a Beer book.

They used the 36 date on the bud cans well into the 40's. It was just the patent date.

Daniel, take a look at my pic of my bud cans. The cans on left have the Contents & IRTP statement on top front. These come in many different variances some with 1936 date on lower left front & some without. Some come in 2 patents others pending & some 3 patents. Notice the cans pictured on right do not have the contents or IRTP on top front. Instead it has it on the side like yours. Some of these did come out in 1937 but they are all 2 patents others pending. Yours Being Patents pending came out before the 2 patents others pending making your particular can a 1936 can. Plus I'll bet yours on other side of can in big black circle starts out saying "We Gaurantee that this beer" also making it a older 1936 can while the next can after that one will say "This is the Famous Budweiser Beer" on the side being a newer 1937+ can. LEON.

Leon looking at he cans together like that is really neat. Puts things into perspective. I can't believe all he buds I've dug and only kept a few. No telling how many different varieties I threw over my shoulder. Went through the photos and here are the few I did keep.ImageImageImage

The toughest one to look out for is the one that does not have any writing below the Lager Beer. No Copyright 1936 or anhauser busch on lower bottom front. I still need that can. The last one you pictured is a late 1940's with no opening instructions. Some will say that's a little tougher then the others. LE0N.

P.S. I like that Propellar Pyramid in background. I once had similar pyramid.

I chucked a bunch of these back into Mother Earth. Kept what I thought was the best one. And thanks. Folks still wanna buy one of those propeller cans back there. But I don't know what I have so I'm keeping them for now. I did dig some good ones this year. But didn't find anymore of the mountain rainiers.

They only made that one for a few months in Late 1949. It's a tough major variation of the gold buds but not as tough as the first version Leon mentioned.

I've never found the non O/I can before but have dumped the earlier versions from 38 many times. Oddly enough I just got one this summer from one of my dads friends.

There's also a variations where the stars around the circle are black outlined instead of white.

Think I had about 10 Propellars in my Pyramid. I did not get much for them, $20-$30 bucks but mine were rougher then most of yours, mine were all de dented cans, yours should get $100+ on the better ones. LEON.

Holy cow man! Those are serious dented cans. I threw a. Inch of those back thinking you couldn't save them. They came out great tho. Where the tips or bottoms cut off to get them done?

They were not as bad as this flattened Martins cone top I had pictured below. The Martins came out OK for being flat as a pancake. Save all your dented flattened cans for me instead of throwing them back. LEON.

Damn they came out looking good from the de denting. I have some here dented like crazy I need to practice on, and I have a propeller can here with a dang root that grew next to it denying the can and the can grew around it. I cut the root on both ends and kept it with the can.

Some times I can get dents out if not to bad without removing a lid. But, Heavy duty dented cans will need a lid (preferably bottom) removed to do a good job on the heavily dented cans. Practice & Good luck. LEON.

I've cut the base off before with a dremel grinding wheel and I have a nice heavy duty tube I stick the can over and smack the living piss out of it with a rubber mallet.... kidding about smacking the piss out of it lol
