Now just wait one freaking moment....Glasgo in a crowntainer?

I was looking at ads for Glasgo beer when I noticed this ad from June 25, 1949....

@Chris E. and many others from the Richbrau Chapter will have to provide some details.....

Another ad with the same reference to the crowntainer from March 14, 1950...Hard pressed to believe it as a mistake twice......Norfolk_Virginian_Pilot_Tue__Mar_14__1950

A couple of early Crown Can Co. ads use "Crown Top", as do their invoices to Gretz Brewing Co. for orders of Gretz Bock J-Spouts. I don't recall seeing the term used elsewhere, with or without the hyphen.

Yeah odd to see it in a 1949 and 1950 ad.....

Looks like I was able to find a few ads.....

The Esslinger example is what initially threw me off....

@mtracy64 Seems like in the late 40s - early 50s, "crown top" with or without the hyphen became the marketing title to use....
