Sports Card Show

#1

Post by Beamer »

I attended a sports card show today and was amazed at how many young kids were there. Moms Dads Sisters and Brothers pouring over the cards and checking their want/need list. Sad it was not a beer can show, but cool to see kids collecting rather than playing video games.

I have a lot of baseball cards to sell so a few weeks ago I attended a local show to try to get a feel for the market. The place was packed. Cards are obviously very popular right now (at least where I live). I told some Tiger yearbooks and misc. for my parents and Jack Lucas introduced me to a reputable dealer for my cards. I plan to take my cards to his shop soon.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

2023 Shows Attended

* Michigan Chapter Winterfest, January 14, Frankenmuth Michigan
* Cabin Fever Reliever, February 24, Mishawaka Indiana
* Buckeye, March 11, Toledo Ohio
* SummerSwap, July 21 & 22, Frankenmuth Michigan

I attend quite a few card shows every year and yes, there are usually a lot of kids in attendance.
