Register if you haven't already!!!! Spring Thaw 2023 March 30-31 and April 1

Rusty Bunch got some really good news for Spring Thaw 2023 Thanks to Larry Handy and Jeff Lebo for all their hard work.

Here is what we know:

- The Clarion where we were last year is closed.
- They have locked in The Red Lion Hotel https://www.redlion.com/red-lion-hotels ... rg-hershey
- Not to be confused with typical roadside Red Lion Inn. It is a great hotel.
- Rooms are $95
- Dates would be March 30, 31 and April 1.
- There will be a tradefloor.
- They have a few pool tables and ping pong tables so we could have a few more contests.
- There is what Larry calls "The RB patio at the pool" where we can play cornhole.
- We will have a separate hospitality suite
- Based on the shows listed on the BCCA page, the dates look pretty good

The other good news is they (Larry and Jeff) are working with the hotel to lock in future commitments. However, we all know how hotel business goes.

Here are the planned future dates:

April 3-7, 2024
April 2-6, 2025
April 8-12, 2026

Nice - 2024 and 2026 are tailor-made for a dumping trip before the show, with Easter falling the weekend before the show.

@Candog Tom....Larry Handy posted this on Facebook. He just settled the contract so many the hotel doesn't have anything related to the show set up yet.

Right, I just called the hotel. They know about the show, but she did not have a show code. The phone number for the specific Hotel is not available anywhere I searched. I ended up talking to the Red Lion Reservations desk. She booked me a room, but indicated most of the other rooms were blocked out. So if you try to reserve now, you may not be able to get anything. I would wait until Larry publishes the group code.

More info needs to be posted.

I TRIED TWICE BY CALLING, GOT CONNECTED TO GOD ONLY KNOWS WHERE
COULDN'T UNDERSTAND A WORD THEY WERE SAYING

Tried to make reservations online. Reservations for is asking for a "Country". I tried U.S., USA, United States, United States of America, NOTHING WORKS! You cannot complete the reservation with the "Country" and there are no available codes or Abbreviations displayed. This needs to be fixed.

@Candog Tried simply clicking on the down arrow to the right of the block and have United States simply pop up......

Yeah it works......some just need help....

We could send @Daev Larrazolo over to help....

It will come eventually or square peg round hole will make someone lose sleep

Did the right arrow thing. It would not bring up anything. Could have been the browser I was using. I always use Firefox, but lately I've had forms that did not want to open or could not be filled out completely and had to go to Chrome or Edge. Such a pain-in-the-***.

My reservations are good, but I called it in. The desk was up to speed on the Show and the code, so that is good.
Happy to do the form fill-out evaluation!!!

Easiest way to make reservations is calling the hotel at 717-939-7841. Do not push any buttons for prompts and it will go straight through to the front desk at the hotel in Harrisburg. If you hit any prompts, it sends you to the hotel reservation person over-seas. Online I was not able to check out on Sunday April 2nd.
I gave them the check in and check out dates along with the "Spring Thaw" code word. Had a room reserved at $95 per night and a confirmation email in about 5 minutes.
