Thanks for the Krylon fix solution for white outs

Have to thank RB'er - "Durtbag" for helping me with a tip on cans that have lost their shiny luster or worse, those that have a powdery white surface after soaking in oxalic acid. He told me to try Krylon Workable Fixatif ($12 Amazon) Many may already know this, but wanted to pass along for those unaware.

Does not get rid of rust, but you can quickly become an expert on what cans will "pop" or have that white powdery finish erased. Would recommend bringing a can to local shows and others can try on their dumpers.

These cones were barely displayable. Quick soak in oxalic removed surface rust, but was left with a powder white surface coating. After the Krylon, quick spray, 10 minutes to dry, this is what they looked like (Did not think to take a before photo as I was very upset at the condition after soaking)
