How about under Wagner's?

#1

Post by chaunasknight »

I haven't seen any postings about what has been found under Wagner's yet, I know there has been a bunch. Looking in the book I can't find the can, but there is a quart that has an old bike with the big front tire and little back tire (I forget what they are called) I believe it is a Fitsgerald. Anyone know the can I am talking about? I believe the first known example was found by Will Mumford under a Wagner's label. I found A Horton's 212-10 under one. Any others?

I believe you are correct Mountianrust, Gretz just hit my mind, and I come back to say that and you already have. Anyone have one of these? I think I remember hearing of another turn up after Will's so I don't think it's one of a kind. Can anyone post a picture?

Don't have a picture, but I know where you can view one. Go to http://www.onefullquart.com and click on the "Quart Photo Gallery" link at the top. Go about half way down and there is a picture with a really sweet Gretz with a Schmidt and Hampden. Did not want to take the picture to post here without permission. I hope it is OK to put a link to Matt's site here. I call the photo gallery the "I wish page". I wish I had that and that and that and that...

My brother just turned up a Wagner's Quart with a Jolly Scot Ale under it. Still has the original wire cap on it. The can is so sun faded the Wagner's label is burned off, revealing the Jolly Scot underneath. Not much left of the color, but you can definitely see the Jolly Scot label.
